Role Profile
Salvatech is looking to add a talented and self-motivated Business Analyst to our Product Management team. The main responsibility will be to work closely with our product team to translate customer needs into actionable requirements for our technology team, alongside working with key business stakeholders in understanding their operations and improve processes.
The primary duties include documenting key features across our suite of data and analytics services, alongside working with key business stakeholders to enhance processes, alongside coordinating, and communicating requirements to our engineering teams. Building reports with recommendations for stakeholders and analysing the potential impact of recommendations.
The role is a permanent role and reporting to our Head of Product, Data & Platforms and support the Product Management, Data and Content teams.
This role is balanced working model between home and in our modern and centrally located UK -London office close to St Paul’s, Blackfriars, and Farringdon with an excellent and a wide variety of services and transport links situated nearby.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a key interface between Product, Data, PMO and engineering teams to identify and define project scope and requirements
Support the Product Management team convert customer requirements into technical
requirements, leveraging modern engineering principles and best practices
Use your analytical and problem-solving skills to identify solutions to client challenges
Facilitating workshops across business functions for various initiatives, identifying gaps and high-quality improvement areas
Documenting and testing new capabilities across our suite of data and analytics products and services
Creating well-articulated problem statements, management of business and technical processes
Working with other Business and Data Analysts across the group to add initiatives, epics to the engineering teams’ backlog
Work closely with Product, Data and PMO to build business reports measuring key
KPIs/OKRs, to support data-driving decisions and provide recommendations.
Work with business stakeholders to conduct User Acceptance Testing on our data and analytics services – collecting feedback and suggestions
Demonstrate the commercial acumen and ability to build an understanding of our business and share delivery plans by working with the technology team
Anticipating, identifying and managing risks & issues
What We Are Looking For
Essential
At least 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst
High-level of experience working with Agile development methodologies e.g. SCRUM, Kanban.
Excellent understanding of frameworks for writing user-stories and acceptance criteria
Understanding of Product Management methodologies and processes
Experience of using tools such as JIRA and Confluence to capture document
requirements
Technical knowledge of database architecture
Experience working with a wide range of business stakeholders to understand
commercial goals and drivers
Highly organised with demonstrable experience working with process redesign methods.
Ability to adapt quickly to rapidly changing technology and then use this technical knowledge to apply to business needs
Excellent soft skills. Need to be able to demonstrate a strong business acumen and ability to build relationships with stakeholders quickly
Critical & challenging thinker
Ability to connect business, technology, and user requirements to create technology solutions
Desirable
Relevant Business Analysis qualifications
Working in a SaaS, B2B or data and analytics product environments
Previous SQL experience
Experience or/and knowledge in the maritime industry would be beneficial but not
essential
Previous experience working in a business growing change
Previous experience working in a PE backed business
